This document contains the following sections: Overview Introduction OCAP stack Extensions Platform Requirements Installation Notes Known Issues Support Open Source Licensing 1.2 Introduction The <tru2way> Workbench from Cable Television Laboratories, Inc. is an integrated development environment (IDE) for developing <tru2way> applications on a PC platform. The application developer can develop and test OCAP applications while sitting at a PC without the need for an OCAP-compliant set-top box or Cable plant network. The goal of <tru2way> Workbench is to assist the end-user in easily creating their software solution. <tru2way> Workbench provides a tool chain to edit, compile, debug and test an OCAP application in an environment that approximates a complete end-to-end cable system. The toolset integrates editors, compilers, debuggers, a client API simulator, a headend simulator and other utility tools. The result is an environment that can be run on a PC and provides a complete development and testing environment for an application builder. 3 OpenCable™ - <tru2way> Workbench v0.1.001 Release Notes 1.3 OCAP Stack This section provides information about the OCAP APIs that are supported in the OCAP stack included with this release of <tru2way> Workbench.
