1) Why were Hammurabi’s laws important? They were displayed for the public.
2) The Code of Hammurabi introduced the idea of fair treatment under the law.
3) The Code of Hammurabi was spread throughout the empire by the use of their writing
system, otherwise known as Cuneiform.
4) Because the laws were written down, all citizens of Babylonia were able to follow them.
5) The Code of Hammurabi was created for the people of ancient Babylon.
