PRESS RELEASE 03/05/2016 Women on Waves’ Carry out Dangerous Drone Operation in Polish Territory The national pro-life charity LIFE is calling for the German and Polish governments to act swiftly to prevent the pro-abortion group ‘Women on Waves’ from transporting illegal abortion drugs into Polish territory using drones. LIFE Spokesman Peter Sullivan says: “This latest act by the group illustrates their complete disregard for the laws of a sovereign country. They spuriously claim that using drones to transport illegal drugs from one country into another is not breaking the law because “regulations have never been made for such an action”. While Poland may have no specific regulations in place to stop any illegal drug being transported across the border using drones, that does not mean that those who transport drugs such as heroin, for example, by the novel means of drones are above the law. ‘Women on Waves’ are openly flouting Poland’s laws and threatening the lives of unborn children. No matter what the opinion of an individual or group may be about abortion, openly flouting the laws of a country and threatening the lives of unborn children, in defiance of the will of its people, cannot be justified. Urgent steps need to be taken to stop this organisation from continuing with its extreme actions.” For further media comment please call the LIFE Media Hotline on 07867 744502 LIFE is a pro-life charity that supports anyone facing a crisis pregnancy, pregnancy loss or after an abortion, and strives to engage, inspire and inform the next generation to value all human life from beginning to end LIFE is the trading name of LIFE 2009, a company limited by guarantee registered in England and Wales, no. 06786752 and registered national charity no. 1128355 in England and Wales and no.
