About 150 million
years ago, powerful
geological forces
split Pangaea into
Laurasia in the north
and Gondwana in the
south.

Ouranosaurus was
a relatively slow
dinosaur, able to run
on two legs and walk
on four.

The most distinctive
feature about
Masiakasaurus is its
front teeth, which
point forward. This
may have allowed it to
catch small prey such
as fish.
Amargasaurus sported
two parallel rows of
tall spines down its
neck and back. They
may have been used to
signal other members
of its species.
Giganotosaurus may
have been the largest
land carnivore ever,
even bigger than
Tyrannosaurus rex!
It would have
measured over 13
metres long and
weighed up to 6000
kilograms.
