Amy Barrett, MS, CCC-SLP, UTP is a compassionate and experienced professional, who brings both
personal experience and clinical knowledge to her work as a Unified Therapy™ Practitioner.
Amy has undergone extensive training with Dr. Paul Canali at the Evolutionary Healing Institute
and has been a practitioner of Unified Therapy™ since August, 2011.
She is also a licensed speech-language pathologist holding a certificate of clinical competence
from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association. She obtained her Bachelor of
Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Georgia in
1998 and her Master of Science degree in Audiology and Speech Pathology from Florida State
University in 2001.
Amy was introduced to Unified Therapy™ in 2010, as a client suffering from debilitating Chronic
Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia. Since her complete recovery, she is dedicated to assisting
others in acquiring “neurological tools” necessary to restore health and emotional well being.
Amy specializes in treating people with unresolved trauma/stress, anxiety, pain and various
auto-immune disorders. She combines her clinical knowledge with Unified Therapy™ principles
to help clients with speech disfluencies and vocal dysfunction. During each session, she creates
a secure and nurturing environment. She guides her clients to positively interact with a wide
variety of emotions, as they experience new levels of understanding regarding their current
condition.
As a speech pathologist, she feels a natural calling to provide a holistic model of wellness for
her pediatric clients with disabilities, addressing the interplay of family history, emotional,
social, and physical aspects of each individual, as well as the impact of medical related trauma
on the child and family as a whole.
In addition to her work at the Evolutionary Healing Institute, Amy works closely with Dr. Paula
Petry, PhD, co-teaching a workshop series, Discover From Within, where she introduces and
teaches Unified Therapy™ principles to support emerging mindfulness, and participants’
understanding of the connection between emotions and their physical manifestations.
