JOB SUMMARY The Investor Reporting and Accounts Payable Coordinator is responsible for the assigned monthly distributions and portfolio reports, daily reconciliations of investor P&I, Loan Control, and bank accounts. They are also responsible for timely and accurate completion of assigned special projects. In addition, this individual will be responsible for certain aspects of Accounts Payable, including processing of vendor payments and associated general ledger postings. This detail-oriented individual is responsible for reviewing all related paperwork, including vendor invoices, internal and external approvals and ensuring adherence to company policy. This position processes a large volume of transactions and as such the ideal candidate must be efficient, organized and accurate. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Reconcile loan activity and payments processed for Puerto Rican specific portfolios Research and resolve all out of balance conditions Ensure accurate daily balancing and resolution for all assigned entities, as well as resolve any out-of-balance issues with proper departments. Reconcile Investor Custodial and Clearing Account Bank Statements. Timely and accurate reconciliation of assigned entities and monthly reporting packages (Distribution and Portfolio Reports). Prepare wire transfers related to monthly distributions and other monthly portfolio activity. Continuously reviews processes and procedures and aggressively recommends new ones to management and other departments within the company to improve the quality and efficiency. Strict adherence to company guidelines and servicing agreements for timely and accurate reporting, remitting, and reconciling. Review and input approved invoices into Accounts Payable system for PR portfolios and prepare A/P Check runs Scan all invoices when check runs are processed and upload to corresponding general ledger transaction Respond to internal written and phone requests as well as requests from outside vendors Obtain required documentation from new vendors. MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: 1-3 years’ experience in Accounts Payable, cash balancing, and/or loan operations. Bi-lingual in English and Spanish required Strong PC skills, be proficient in Excel, and understand and create basic to intermediate Excel formulas. Strong analytical skills as well as excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to solve problems in a timely and orderly fashion. Ability to handle multiple priorities/projects effectively while working in a dynamic environment. Experience with most major areas of residential/commercial mortgage servicing, including bank reconciliations, and loan research a plus. Strong attention to detail Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or finance required. This job is based in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
