Producing electricity from a geothermal power plant emits only 0-4% per megawatt of the CO2
emitted by a fossil fuel power plant. Binary power plants have virtually no emissions.
Benefits of Geothermal Power
• Clean energy‐ no air pollution • Renewable and sustainable energy that can be generated 24 hours/day
• Can be generated locally and easily integrated into the electrical grid for homes and businesses
• Conserves fossil fuels
• Potential resource development in Western Washington is substantial. We are in a good location for geothermal reservoirs!
