Effective Foliar Plant Nutrition
Liquid Magnesium 4% secondary nutrient is formulated
to provide optimum magnesium and sulfur to growing
plants. This foliar plant nutrition complex can be applied
to a variety of crops, is compatible with most insecticides
and fungicides, and can be applied with liquid fertilizer by
ground or air.
Plant Health Benefits
Magnesium, an essential part of the chlorophyll molecule,
activates many enzymes and aids in the formation of
sugars, oils and fats. It is mobile in the plant, readily
translocated from older to younger plant parts and
absorbed as the Mg++ ion.

Sulfur is a constituent of the amino acids cysteine,
Total Nitrogen (N) methionine and cystine, which are essential for protein

the synthesis of hormones and chlorophyll. Sulfur is part of

Derived from urea and magnesium sulfate. Magnesium is complexed with lignosulfonate.
reactions and in nitrogen fixation by legumes.

Application Rate and Timing
Apply to crops where sulfur and magnesium deficiency
exists or where soluble magnesium would be beneficial. Use
the following application rates:
• Nutrient maintenance: 1 to 3 quarts per acre
• Light deficiency: 2 to 6 quarts per acre
• Severe deficiency: 1 to 2 gallons per acre
Use lower end of rate range for field, row and vegetable
crops. Use higher end of rate range for fruit, tree, vine,
ornamental and turf crops. Add Liquid Magnesium 4%
secondary nutrient to the tank before adding herbicides,
insecticides or fungicides.
Factors Affecting Nutrient Availability
• Soil pH
• Organic matter content
• Soil texture
• Soil water content
• Nutrient interactions
• Temperature
Precise Treatments
Tissue sampling and analysis with the NutriSolutions®
Tool just before key growth stages will pinpoint nutrient
deficiencies and recommend specific nutrient formulations,
so you can apply exactly what your crop needs, and nothing
it doesn’t.
