Rachel Marron
Queen of British Soul
Beverley Knight has been
one of the UK’s most
consistent artists for nearly
two decades, scoring several Top 10 albums,
including the platinum selling Voice: The
Best Of Beverley Knight. She has sold over
a million albums in the UK along the way,
including four gold certified albums. Her
latest album Soulsville was released in June
2016 and went straight into the UK Top 10.
Beverley was awarded an MBE by the Queen
in 2007 for her services to British music and
charity, has won three MOBO Awards, and
been nominated for Best Female at the Brit
Awards three times and for the prestigious
Mercury Music Prize twice. Wolverhampton
born Knight has recently forged a
formidable parallel career in London’s
West End following her highly acclaimed
debut starring role as Rachel Marron in The
Bodyguard in 2013. In 2014 she received an
Olivier Award Nomination as for her much
praised and second ever West End role,
of Felicia Farrell, in the hit show Memphis
The Musical. The production won Best New
Musical at the 2015 What’s On Stage Awards
and received more Olivier nominations than
any other West End show in 2015. In October
2015 at the request of Lord Andrew Lloyd
Webber she joined the cast of Cats, playing
the role of Grizabella for a much vaunted
11 week run at The London Palladium. Her
outstanding live performances have gained
her a legion of famous fans over the years,
from David Bowie to Prince, Stevie Wonder
to Quincy Jones. She has collaborated
on stage and on record with the likes of
Prince, Jamiroquai, Bryan Adams, Ronnie
Wood, Carlos Santana, Andrea Bocelli, Jools

Holland, Jamie Cullum, Joss Stone, Take That
and Chaka Kahn. Knight has toured the
UK several times in her own right and has
sold out London’s Royal Albert Hall on three
occasions since her debut there in 2007.
Her broadcasting work includes presenting
four series of Radio 2 show Beverley’s Gospel
Nights, and two series of hit BBC1 show Just
The Two Of Us as well as winning BBC1’s
Celebrity Mastermind. In the summer of
2012, Beverley wowed a 1 billion viewing
audience with an outstanding rendition
of the song I Am What I Am, in the finale
of the London 2012 Paralympics Opening
Ceremony. Beverley is an ambassador for
many charities such as Christian Aid with
whom she has travelled to areas affected by
disease and poverty to help raise awareness.
She is an active campaigner for anti-Aids
organisations such as the Stop AIDS
Campaign and The Terrence Higgins Trust.

Phoebe started performing
professionally at the age
of 9, where she starred as
young Cosette in the West
End production of Les Misérables in 2001.
In 2008 Phoebe gained a full scholarship
to train at Laine Theatre Arts where
she studied both musical theatre and
professional dance. During her training
she was cast in a First Family pantomime
production of Aladdin, at the Churchill
Theatre Bromley, where she appeared as
part of the Ensemble. Other theatre credits
include; Christopher Biggins’ Night Out
(Richmond Theatre, 2009) and A Centennial
Celebration (New Wimbledon Theatre 2010).
After graduating in 2011, Phoebe’s first job
was as a dancer on board Costa Cruise Lines,
and she then went on to become Dance
Captain for P&O cruises until 2015. Phoebe
most recently appeared as a featured dancer
in the Thursford Christmas Spectacular and
is now thrilled to have landed her role as
Swing/Ensemble in the UK Tour and West
End run of The Bodyguard.

Screenplay
Lawrence Kasdan has directed, written or
produced twenty-three motion pictures,
including Body Heat, The Big Chill, Silverado,
The Accidental Tourist and Grand Canyon.
Among them, he has written or co-written
four of the most successful films in motion
picture history: Raiders Of The Lost Ark, The
Empire Strikes Back, Return Of The Jedi and
The Bodyguard, the first original screenplay
Kasdan sold. The Big Chill and The Accidental
Tourist were nominated for Academy Awards
as Best Picture. The Accidental Tourist was
named Best Picture of 1988 by the New
York Film Critics Circle. Grand Canyon won
the Golden Bear as Best Picture of the 1992
Berlin Film Festival. Nominated for four

Alexander Dinelaris is an Academy Award
and Golden Globe winner for the screenplay
of Birdman (or The Unexpected Virtue of

Ed Harris. He is currently adapting the
novel Entering Hades into a feature film

Director
In 2000 Thea won the James Menzies-Kitchin
young director of the year award, making
her directorial debut with a production of
Caryl Churchill’s Top Girls, which transferred
to the West End and toured the UK twice.
Thea was then made Britain’s youngest
artistic director when she took over the
Southwark Playhouse for three years, before
then going on to be the artistic director
of the Gate Theatre in Notting Hill. Since
then as a freelance director, her credits
include productions for the Almeida and
the Donmar, the National Theatre and
many in the West End including Equus
with Daniel Radcliffe and Richard Griffiths
(also Broadway); The Misanthrope with Keira
Knightly; Heroes with John Hurt and Cause
Celebre with Anne-Marie Duff at the Old
Vic. Her production of After The Dance for
the National Theatre won 8 major awards.
She has also directed Henry V starring Tom
Hiddleston for Sam Mendes/Neal Street
and the BBC, as well as the 2013 Christmas

Griffiths in his last stage performance, in

Lighting Designer
Mark is an Associate at the Royal National
Theatre. He was the recipient of the 1992,
1995, 2000, 2002 and 2010 Laurence Olivier
Awards for Lighting Design, was awarded a

Resident Director
Jason trained at The Birmingham School of
Speech and Dramatic Art and undertook
further study at Arts Educational Schools,
London. Jason has just finished directing a
brand new production of Grease, which had
its premier on the brand new cruise liner
‘Harmony of the Seas’ the biggest cruise
liner in the world. He was the Associate
Director on the UK premier of Xanadu, at the
Southwark Playhouse. Jason redirected the
current UK and international tour of Priscilla
Queen of the Desert! He was the Resident
Director on the UK tour of The Bodyguard,
other recent credits include, Resident

Michael Harrison’s West End productions

Henderson Presents at the Noel Coward Theatre.
The Bodyguard is now a worldwide hit with

With Cameron Mackintosh he produced the
UK tour of the Chichester Festival Theatre
production of Barnum. His other musicals

in 2015. He was made a fellow of the Arts
University Bournemouth in 2012 and received
an honorary MA in 2015.

Producer
John Frost is Australia’s most prolific and
successful theatre producers. In recent times
he had been responsible for the Australian
productions of The Producers, Stephen
Daldry’s An Inspector Calls, Chicago, Dr Zhivago,
Calendar Girls, The Phantom of the Opera and
Wicked. His current productions include:
The Lincoln Centre’s production of South
Pacific, Legally Blonde: The Musical, A Funny
Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum with
Geoffrey Rush and Driving Miss Daisy with
Angela Lansbury and James Earl Jones. On
Broadway John has been represented by the
Tony Award-winning productions The King
and I, Hairspray and Exit the King, starring
Geoffrey Rush and Susan Sarandon. In
London credits include Priscilla Queen of the
Desert at the Palace, Julie Andrews in The Gift
of Music at the O2 Arena, Lady Windermere’s
