On my way to work in the morning, I find that if I focus a few minutes on things in my upcoming day that I am grateful for, it helps me to feel less stressed and anxious about the other parts of my day that may not be so easy. On the opposite end of the day, some nights I will find that my brain doesn’t want to turn off and I will have a hard time falling asleep. I find that if I make a list in my head (or sometimes on paper), of the things that I have to be grateful for that happened during my day, I have an easier time being able to decompress and fall asleep. Since I have been practicing this gratitude appreciation I have found that my attitude during the day is much more serene and fun-spirited. I have been able to appreciate the little moments that happen during the day and look for things that will add to my list at the end of it. Wishing you all a season of things to be thankful for! Featured Classroom of the Month This month’s Featured Classroom is the Rainbow Room. The Rainbow room is the youngest infant room in the building. Miss Marthan and Miss Hannah are the dynamic duo shaping those young minds. This month they will be watching the color of the leaves change and the trees go naked, and they will be experiencing crumpling dried leaves for sensory. The Rainbow Room would appreciate donations of plastic bags, crib sheets and mobiles. We welcomed Thomas, Aiden and Juniper into the room in October and have been enjoying getting to know them and their families. We were very sad to say so long to Annabelle and Kyra and we hope that our paths will cross again. We wish our friends Calil and Kaylah well as they move to the Duckling Room!
