In the geocentric system Earth is in the center and the
planets revolve around Earth.
In the heliocentric system Earth revolves around the
sun.
Galileo used the telescope to discover that four planets
revolves around Jupiter.
More than 20 years Tycho Brahe recorded and
observed the planets.
Kepler discover the speed of the planet changes as it
revolves around the sun.

In the sun’s core the temperature is about 15million
degrees Celsius.
 The sun’s core is hot enough for nuclear fusion to
occur.
 The diameter of the sun’s core is about 400,000km ,30
times bigger than earth’s diameter.
 Gravity and outward pressure combine to make the
sun’s spherical shape.
 The photosphere, chromosphere, and the corona are
 The four inner planets are called Earth, Mercury, Venus,
and Mars.
The inner planets are often called terrestrial planets
which means Earth in Latin.
Earth is unique because of the liquid water in its surface.
Mercury is one of the smallest planet and is also a
planet that is closest to the sun.
Venus and Earth have similar density also internal
structure.
Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune are the
four outer planets.
The four outer planets are often called gas
giants because the planets are so large.
Saturn is the second largest planet in the solar
system.
Neptune’s Great Dark spot is about the same
size as Earth.
Pluto is much smaller and denser than the outer
planets.

The nucleus, the coma, and tail are the 3 main parts
of a comet.
The Kuiper belt and Oort cloud are two regions
that most comets originate from.
The Kuiper belt is a doughnut shaped region.
The Oort cloud is a spherical region.
Between the orbits of mars and Jupiter, most
asteroids revolve around the sun in fairly circular
orbits.
Comets and/or asteroids are what make
meteoroids.
If earth was more hot then water would be gas.
 Scientists have discovered living things that could
not exist in those places.
 At the bottom of the ocean giant tubeworms have
been found.
 Scientists think that may have had conditions (water
that were needed for life to exist on mars.
 There are river like patterns on mars that showed
that water one time in life was flowing on mars.
 Jupiter moon, Europe might have life on it because
there may be water on the moon.
