Relationship Case Manager
Who You Are
You’re a sharp, business-minded individual who doesn’t shy away from finance, insurance or medical
terminology. You love talking to people, and you can confidently negotiate and influence a situation to
achieve a successful outcome. When it comes to problem-solving, you’re great at keeping track of the
details, and you’re not afraid to dive deeper. A passion for life insurance doesn’t hurt, either.
Who We Are
Ash Brokerage is an insurance brokerage general agency (BGA). (Not to brag, but we’re actually the
largest privately owned BGA in the country.) If you’re in the business, then you know how a BGA works.
If you’re not, here goes: A BGA works with financial professionals who sell insurance, such as
independent agents, financial planners or registered investment advisors. Those advisors come to us
with information about their clients, then we check out multiple carriers and product options to help
find the best solutions to fit their needs. That’s what we do in a nutshell … but, there’s so much more!
Yes, we’re in the insurance business, but we’re out to change the perception of what our industry does.
Really, we’re less of a sales organization and more a partner to provide peace of mind. On the Life New
Business Team, we’re proud to play a vital part in the insurance process. We take our responsibility to
heart, knowing everything we do helps protect the lives of others. No matter the case, we’re always
looking for ways to make life (insurance) easier for everyone involved.
What You’ll Do
Relationship case managers take case management to the next level. You’ll be part underwriter, part
teammate for the financial professionals we serve, helping them with everything from price quotes to
closing. As a liaison between our clients and insurance carriers, you’ll do everything you can to make
everyone’s experience as easy as possible. To be successful, you will have to:
 Monitor case progress, track down requirements and provide ongoing status updates
 Review application information, including medical history, to identify any issues that could
present a problem – if necessary, you’ll research and present alternative solutions
 Respond to quote requests by gathering and assessing client information, then making a product
recommendation; if necessary, you can seek input or refer requests to a marketing specialist
 Educate yourself on the latest product offerings and industry developments and, in turn,
educate advisors on those subjects to help create new business opportunities
 Continuously look for ways to expedite and improve our processes and services
 Maintain positive relationships with your agents and underwriters – because good rapport
creates a better experience for them and you
