 Clinical Track Assistant/Associate Professor of Orthodontics Dentistry

Advancing Healthcare through Education, Service, Research and Discovery We invite applications and nominations for two full-­‐time faculty positions in Orthodontics, in the clinical track at the assistant or associate professor rank. The division of Orthodontics is internationally recognized for clinical and academic excellence, provides sound clinical and academic education, has state-­‐of-­‐the-­‐art clinical facilities and offers an exceptional scholarly environment. Departmental research strengths include clinical, translational, and basic research in craniofacial developmental and skeletal biology, 3D imaging, and treatment outcomes. In addition, numerous opportunities are available for collaboration within the dental school and the greater university community. Candidates for this position should have a D.D.S. or equivalent degree and advanced training in orthodontics. ABO certification or equivalent is desirable but not required. A record of teaching and clinical experience is preferred. A State of Michigan limited academic dental license may be available for qualified candidates. Responsibilities will include didactic and clinical instruction of graduate orthodontic residents and/or pre-­‐doctoral students, scholarly activity, and service. Expertise in craniofacial anomalies and/or orthognathic surgery is desirable. Opportunity to direct a craniofacial anomalies fellowship program will be available for qualified individuals. Faculty practice opportunities are available. Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience and training.
