Research Experience
2015-present:
Research work as PostDoc in the laboratory of Prof.ssa Sabrina Sabatini
Dept. of Biol. and Biotec. “C. Darwin”-“Sapienza” University of Rome, Italy.
Research project: "Meccanismi molecolari coinvolti nella formazione di confini
cellulari nella radice di Arabidopsis".
Main focus of the work: "To understand which molecules are necessary to regulate
the correlation between cell size and cell fate in the Arabidopsis root".
2011 - 2014:
PhD Research training in the laboratory of Prof.ssa Sabrina Sabatini
Dept. of Biol. and Biotec. “C. Darwin”-“Sapienza” University of Rome, Italy.
Title of PhD project thesis: "Molecular mechanisms of interaction between cellular
expansion and cytokinin signaling".
Main focus of the work: To understand which molecules are necessary to
regulate the correlation between cell size and cell division and/or
differentiation input.
2009 - 2011:
Research training in the laboratory of Dott.ssa Sabrina Sabatini, Dept. of Biol.
and Biotec. “C. Darwin”-“Sapienza” University of Rome Italy.
Final dissertation: “Molecular mechanisms depending on the interaction
between cytokinin and auxin necessary to the maintenance of the Arabidopsis
thaliana root stem cell niche.
Pacifici E.
Main focus of the work: to investigate the molecular mechanisms controlling
the stem cell niche differentiation in the scr1-1 mutant after the ARR1 ectopic
expression in the root stem cell niche and to understand if ARR1 activates the
same molecular circuit acting at the transition zone .
2008 - 2009:
Undergraduate training in the Lab of Dott.ssa Sabrina Sabatini, Dept. of Biol.
and Biotec. “C. Darwin”-“Sapienza” University of Rome, Italy.
Final dissertation: Role of the cytokinin hormone in the maintenance of the
Arabidopsis thaliana root stem cell niche.
Main focus of the work: to determinate the relationship between SCR and
ARR1 genes and if the loss of function mutant of ARR1 gene complements the
scr1-1 mutation.
Fellowship and Awards
2011:
Fellowship for excellence in academic performance of PhD School in Genetics
and Molecular Biology - XXVII cycle - “Sapienza” University of Rome, Italy.
