PEARL RIVER VALLEY ELECTRIC POWER ASSOCIATION Columbia, Mississippi RATE “LP” November 1, 2015 LARGE POWER SERVICE Effective: Single or Three Phase (greater than 75 kVA, but less than 1,000 kVA) RATE SCHEDULES Rate 301 (20) Large Power (LP-1) 302 (21) Large Power, All Electric (LP-AE-1) 303 (22) Large Power, Primary Metering (LP-PM-1) 304 (23) Large Power, Primary Metering, All Electric (LP-PM-AE-1) APPLICABILITY This rate applies to all non-residential Consumers requiring a transformer capacity of 75 KVA or more, but less than 1,000 KVA, subject to Association’s established rules and regulations. This Large Power Service Rate applies to electric service measured by one meter used exclusively by one Consumer in a single establishment on one premise utilizing a single delivery point, and shall not be resold or shared with others. TYPE OF SERVICE Single-phase and/or three-phase, 60 cycles, at Association's standard or an approved voltage by Association. MONTHLY RATE FOR SERVICE BASE CHARGE (see also Minimum Charge below) Base Charge……………………………………………………….………......…...…. $2.60 per day; plus DEMAND CHARGE Demand Charge for all billing demand…………………….………..……..……… $8.50 per KVA; plus KVA billing demand is the maximum KVA demand established by Consumer during any consecutive fifteen minute period within month for which electric bill is rendered as measured by suitable meter and rounded to nearest whole KVA. In no case shall such KVA billing demand be less than 50 percent of the greatest billing demand established during the preceding eleven months, or as may be provided by contract. ENERGY CHARGE Energy Charge………………………………………….…..……....................……. 6.0¢ per KWH; plus When Consumer's operation is total electric, utilizes the minimum required space conditioning and water heating, and meets the energy efficiency rating requirements of Association, then the Energy Charge below is applicable during the months of December through March. Energy Charge (All-Electric service only as specified below)...….………………. 5.80¢ per KWH; plus Page 1 of 3 PRVEPA RATE “LP” cont’d ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE CHARGE (ECC) Above energy charge for electric service shall be increased each month per KWH by same and equal amount Association is billed for Environmental Compliance Charge by Association’s power supplier, adjusted for system losses, and included as part of the monthly PCA charge below. REGULATORY COMPLIANCE CHARGE (RCC) Above energy charge for electric service shall be increased each month per KWH by same and equal amount Association is billed for Regulatory Compliance Charge by Association’s power supplier, adjusted for system losses, and included as part of the monthly PCA charge below. POWER COST ADJUSTMENT (PCA) CHARGE Total of all above charges for electric service shall be increased or decreased each month by an equal amount Association's average purchased power cost per kilowatt-hour sold is above or below its base cost of 77.24 mills per kilowatt-hour. PCA also includes above Environmental and Regulatory Compliance Charges. FACILITY CHARGE (FC) When excessive costs are incurred for the installation of new facilities under this rate schedule, Association may require a monthly facility charge to reimburse Association for any applicable facilities cost, including but not limited to, distribution line, metering, telemetering, relaying, O&M expenses necessary to serve Consumer’s delivery point. Such facilities charge shall be in addition to all other electric service charges specified in this rate schedule, Service Agreement, and/or Service Addendums. MINIMUM MONTHLY CHARGE (MMC) Minimum monthly charge shall be the highest one of the following charges as determined for each Consumer under this schedule; plus any applicable facility charge established for Consumer: 1. 2. 3. Base Charge above, or $1.00 per KVA of required installed transformer capacity (except single-phase residence); or As specified in Contract and/or current Fees and Charges. SERVICE PROVISIONS 1. Delivery Point. When overhead service is furnished at secondary voltage, delivery point shall be the metering point unless otherwise specified in contract or agreement. When underground service is furnished at secondary voltage, delivery point shall be Association’s transformer secondary terminals or secondary pedestal unless otherwise specified in contract or agreement. If service is furnished at Association's primary distribution voltage, delivery point shall be the point of separation (usually determined by a switch) between Association's and Consumer's facilities unless otherwise specified in contract or agreement. All wiring, pole lines, transformers, transformer pads, primary and secondary conduits, meter base, conduits, and other electric equipment (except metering equipment) on the load side of delivery point shall be installed, owned, operated, and maintained by Consumer. 2. Lighting. Incidental lighting may be included in the same service provided that both power and lighting can be measured on one meter. 3. Primary Service. If point of delivery is at primary distribution voltage and all facilities past delivery point is owned, installed, operated, and maintained by Consumer, Consumer shall receive a primary discount of $0.40 per KVA Demand. Consumer may also arrange for Association to own, install, operate, and maintain facilities past delivery point and lease facilities from Association for 2 percent of installed facilities cost. However, Association shall have the option of metering at secondary voltage and adding one percent of metered KVA and KWH to billed KVA and KWH for transformer losses. Page 2 of 3 PRVEPA RATE “LP” cont’d DISTRIBUTED GENERATION (DG) CLAUSE For accounts that have a distributed generation system attached (interconnected) to the Association’s electrical distribution system (grid), there shall be added to the total of all charges under this rate schedule an amount as determined in accordance with the Association’s Distributed Generation Rider. TAXES Local, state, and federal taxes or any new or additional taxes that are applicable will be applied to the bill. TERMS OF PAYMENT Payment of bill is due when rendered. In the event the current monthly bill is not paid by specified date on monthly electric bill, a delinquent fee will be added. Page 3 of 3
