Current Activities
After qualification Dr. Scholey worked in general practice
and surgical hospital posts before entering orthodontic
training at Liverpool. He is currently lead clinician in a
hospital unit in Staffordshire providing care for complex
multidisciplinary cases and teaches orthodontics on
a number of postgraduate courses. He also works in
2 private practices focusing on adult and aesthetic
treatments.
Dr. Scholey is a member of:

World Federation of Orthodontists
Publications
Dr. Scholey has published on publication bias and clinical
orthodontics topics and is currently running an RCT on
pain experiences during debonding appliances.
Clinical interests include the twin block appliance and
MBT treatment philosophy particularly the SmartClip™
Appliance and he has lectured widely on the use of the
appliances at home and abroad. He has a varied caseload,
with a special interest in complex multidisciplinary cases.
