Riddle Me
Create a riddle for each of
your spelling words. Write
the answers up-side down at the end so
your teacher can try to work them out!

First, write your spelling word in pencil.
Next, write your spelling word in coloured
pencil.
Finally, write your spelling word in pen.
Re-write your spelling word THREE more
times. Then circle all the vowels with a blue
pen or pencil.
Example:
Write all your spelling words end-to-end.
Use a different coloured pencil or pen for
each word. Each word should appear THREE
TIMES in the train. Example:

First write each word three times. Then
draw different shapes in your jotter. Write
each of your spelling words inside a different
shape so that they fit neatly!
Write a short story
(no more than half a page) using ALL of
your spelling words at least once!

words in a list. Next, create a
list of your words in alphabetical order.
Finally, create a third list in reverse

Be sure to underline your spelling words and
remember to write in sentences.
Make 3 columns in your jotter. In the first,
write your words forwards. In the second,
write the same words out backwards.
Finally, in the third column, write the words
forwards once more!

Write sentences using AT LEAST one
of your spelling words in each. Each
sentence should also contain a WOW word.
Remember to underline your spelling words.

the dots using a
coloured pencil.
