local poisonous plants and venomous animals, practice some observation skills
and take a short bird hike)

Brownies Legacy Eco-Explorer (Habitat, Food Chain, helping wildlife)
Jr. GS could do old Eco-Explorer lesson plan as a fun field trip
Could do generic forestry program (what makes a tree a tree, basic
photosynthesis, ID a dozen different trees and shrubs on a tree hike)

Brownies could do a generic wildlife program (how animals communicate,
animal architects, and animal camouflage)

Geology
Juniors could do the Legacy Be a Rockhound (Rock cycle, layers of the earth,
earth forces short, geology hike, fossils)
Brownies could do generic Geology program (minerals, rocks, fossils)
February 18

Contact Blue Jay staff to learn what a Scout Saturday program might look like for your group. Your field trip
may be further enhanced by the use of free loaner Discovery Boxes done here in the park under direction of
the scout leader immediately before or after your Scout Saturday program.
Each hour-long program costs $25/group of up to 15 scouts plus appropriate chaperones.
