SEASON UNDERWRITERS We asked our supporters to share with others why they contribute to FST each year. GEORGIA COURT I love great theater and FST delivers that. FST is among the best theater companies I have seen, but it is more than a great theater company. It is an organization that recognizes it is part of the larger community – and it reaches out to that community in positive, productive ways. Having FST so accessible adds to the joy of living in the fabulous arts community that is Sarasota. GULF COAST COMMUNITY FOUNDATION Together with its donors, Gulf Coast creatively invests in unique cultural assets like Florida Studio Theatre. Gulf Coast is the philanthropic home of more than 600 families who have established charitable funds there and together they have invested over $208 million in grants in the areas of arts and culture, health and human services, civic and economic development, education, and the environment. Learn more about their bold and proactive philanthropy at GulfCoastCF.org. DENNIS & GRACI MCGILLICUDY FST is important to us because we believe so strongly in the transformative power of the arts. For close to 30 years now, we have been so fortunate to experience first-hand how that transformative power works its magic in the hands of an organization that is not only experienced and dedicated but so highly skilled in their craft. The values of FST and its leadership, as reflected in its mission and as manifested in its work, whether it be on the main stage, in the cabaret, or in its education and community outreach programs, are values that we so strongly believe in. As a consequence, it is a privilege for us to be a part of, and supportive of this great theatre. ANNE NETHERCOTT When asked to define giving, Anne said: “My mother used to say, “The best way to find you is to lose yourself, by focusing on the needs of others rather than on oneself.” So, giving has always been an important family value, which in childhood was reinforced by the community experience of surviving The Depression. Anne is proud to be a supporter of FST. THE WOMAN’S EXCHANGE Since 1962, the Woman’s Exchange has awarded more than $7.8 million in grants and scholarships in support of the arts of Sarasota and Manatee counties. “A proud supporter of Florida Studio Theatre for more than 30 years, the Woman’s Exchange is proud to continue the legacy of supporting an organization that is as artistically diverse as FST.” -Karen Koblenz, Executive Director/CEO, Woman’s Exchange COPRODUCERS JAN & LARRY COLEMAN Florida Studio Theatre is a professionally run organization bringing excellent theatre to Sarasota. Any actor or actress lucky enough to be in a Florida Studio Theatre production will find all their needs fulfilled. Even more wonderful is FST’s commitment that has given children a chance to write a play! Bravo to a well run organization! \ GAIL & SKIP SACK The first time we visited Florida Studio Theatre, we were totally “hooked”. Watching a play in a small, intimate theatre, with incredibly talented actors performing only a few feet away, is a unique experience.
