International association of Dental Research (IADR) General Session & Exhibition and the AADR/CADR Annual Meeting & Exhibition 2015, Boston, Mass., USA Hadi Ismail (PhD student) Institute of Cellular Medicine The IADR is an international dental research organization. It is a non-profit organization with nearly 11,000 members worldwide in academia, industry, government and other research institutes worldwide. IADR provides a unique opportunity to network with dental researchers worldwide in the field of dental research. It is large, but friendly with plenty of opportunity for establishing new collaborations and catching up with colleges from all over the world. There is a good mix of research presentation and keynote speeches. The conference holds every year. For 2015 it was held in Boston, MA., USA in March with huge attendance all over the world. I was fortunate to be selected to present part of my project in the conference. The title of my project is (Development of a new fluoride releasing acrylic orthodontic adhesives). The travel grand award allowed me to attend the conference and present part of my PhD study as a poster in the conference. I have received positive feedback from audience. Also it was a fantastic opportunity to meet and talk with other researchers in my area of research. In particular discussing recent findings and challenges. In addition it was good chance to build personal connection with other researchers and fellow PhD students for future collaboration. During the four days program I have attended several lectures, symposium/workshops and training courses that relevant to my research area. This included but not limited to the following: IADR Academy Boston 2015: 21st Century Tools for Dental Research Polymer-based Materials-Chemistry and Composites I Adhesion to Composite Materials Evaluating Photopolymerization Efficiency: Methods & Their Limitations Polymer-based Materials-Chemistry and Composites IV Finally I would like to express my sincere appreciation to my supervisors Dr Rolland and Dr German for supporting me to attend this conference and the Faculty of Medical Science for awarding me this travel grant which allowed me to travel and attend the conference.
