It is a magnanimous effort on behalf of the national fraternity to contribute to an unprecedented extent to our own training and education. Secondly , we have a superb international faculty. Outstanding features are the categorical course in HRCT imaging of the Lung and a systematic series of lectures on Primary Bone Tumours. Our own prestigious faculty will cover topics ranging from MRI of the Breast to a systematic review of MRI of all the major joints and a focused session on Cardiac imaging. There will also be original contributions from our academic institutions and coverage of MSK ultrasound. This is an event not to be missed, at far below par cost. Please encourage registrars, junior as well as staff radiologists to attend. At this stage I would like to introduce our international speakers: 1) Prof. Johny Verschakelen and Dr. Walter de Wever, from the Department of Radiology,University Hospitals Leuven, Leuven, Belgium. They will conduct a unique categorical course on HRCT of the Lung. These gentlemen are internationally renowned and acknowledged chest radiologists. This teaching course is internationally widely acclaimed and sought after. They recently published a superb and ground breaking textbook "Computed Tomography of the Lung", which sets new horizons. 2) Prof. Daniel Vanel, recently moved to the Instituti Ortopedici Rizzoli,Bologna, Italy.He was head of radiology at Institute Gustave Roussy, France, in charge of education and training.He is also Past President of the European Society of Skeletal radiology as well as Past President of The International Cancer Imaging Society. Prof. Vanel will give a series of four lectures on various aspects of Primary Bone Tumours. Since he is also a member of The French Society of Magic- expect a few surprises or " vanishing tumours !" 3.Dr. Ronald Shnier, from Sydney Australia.He is attached to the Prince of Wales Hospital and also Director Symbion Clinical Research Imaging Centre and National Director Research and Professional Development Symbion Diagnostic Imaging . Dr. Shnier will give a State of the Art lecture " MSK Imaging at 3T." We look forward to this benchmark lecture. Attached please find the final program.
