Specificity:
This antibody recognises c-Myc, a proto-oncogenic transcription factor that
plays a role in cell proliferation, apoptosis and the development of human
tumours. The antibody 9E10 recognises recombinant proteins incorporating a cMyc epitope tag. 9E10 also detects human c-Myc protein and a peptide in
random coil configuration not as a helix.
Purification:
Purified on protein A from tissue culture supernatant.

Purified IgG supplied in Phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.09%

Dilutions:
Optimal antibody dilution should be determined by titration
Storage:
Store at 4°C for one month, or in small aliquots at -20°C for longer periods.
Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Do not
store antibodies in frost-free freezers. For long-term storage aliquote all or part
of the unit in volumes not less than 20 µl. In small aliquots antibodies tend to
adsorb to the sides of the vials. Before aliquoting predilution of 1:2 - 1:20 with a
solution containing other proteins such as 5% BSA is recommendable.
