Language Arts: Seventh Grade
Seventh grade students refine existing and develop new writing skills throughout the year. The course addresses each of the components of
language: reading, writing, listening, speaking, grammar, and vocabulary. Students plan and compose narrative, persuasive, informative, research,
and poetry writings. Finally, students define and apply vocabulary terms in daily writing and speaking. Instructional strategies and assessments
include but are not limited to cooperative learning, presentations, student projects, participation, and independent discovery.
