items on a daily basis. Have you ever stopped and asked yourself the who, what, where, why and how of
their existence and importance in your own life?
For this assignment you will need to:

Choose a personal item that you would find in your local community.
The instructions for the assignment how the ‘The Cycle of Life’ for your item: Where does it from? What is it
made of? Where is it assembled? Where is it sold? Where did the idea come from? What else is important
for this item?
You will investigate and analyze each step of the Cycle of Life.
You will evaluate the socio-cultural, geo-political, economic and environmental impact of each step.
You will organise and display your findings in the form of a visual.
You will include a world map with a key.
The visual can be either an information poster or a booklet.
Part of your grade will be determined by how you comment, question and respond to the comments and
questions from other students about your enquiry.
