What is a unit rate?
Unit cubes
Unit rate is how much of one thing to 1 of another thing
Example: 28 students in 1 class
365 days in 1 year
How to calculate a
unit rate
• Set up as a fraction (larger number in the numerator, smaller number in the
denominator)
• Divide both the numerator and denominator by the denominator
