Signal boosting certain events and issues by

things that have been thrown aside and not
spoken about on news outlets
Using pictures to define who and what kind of
person you are
So on, so forth.
Social media’s a place to define &express yourself.
Taking advantage of restricting who you are by
clicking the button to hiding your identity.
Identity as in username and picture to express
your thoughts. Some people use it to spread
love, compliments, and etc. But many people
abuse this “power” to spread hate and cruelty.
Different perspectives & opinions
With social media outlets like Tumblr, communication and information together
creates different extensions based on images, videos, text, and random links to historical facts
and issues that usually are never mentioned or blatantly ignored. With these types of extensions
allowing access to various information, it pushes individuals to not believe things right off the
bat, but instead to look at both sides of story. For instance, stories from the news are usually
edited or controlled to give the viewer a general idea. And so, with social media, like Tumblr. it
allows anyone who’s actually experience say for example, the recent voting in Greece, to
actually voice out their opinion and/or what’s actually happening. The news reporter/anchor
may say one thing, but the people who are actually experiencing it may say something else. This
cultural expansion of technology has and is still moving in way in which manipulation, lies, and
propaganda will always be questioned.
