Indianapolis, IN - The Self-Insurance Institute of America, Inc. (SIIA) has
named Apex Benefits’ Kari L. Niblack as Chairwoman of SIIA’s National
Health Care Committee.
Upon learning of her selection, Niblack said, “The significance of selfinsurance increases exponentially every single day for business owners.
Self-insurance provides transparency into the real costs of health care and
allows the flexibility to implement cost containment measures resulting in
substantial financial savings for clients. Thus, it is a great honor to be
selected as Chairwoman of SIIA’s Health Care Committee and be
accompanied on the Committee by a team of talented and dedicated selffunded leaders from across the nation.”
Niblack has been involved in U.S. healthcare for more than twenty-five
years. She currently serves as the Executive Vice President for Apex
Benefits where she leads the growing Human Resources Consulting
Practice. Prior to her position with Apex, Kari served five years as the Vice
President of Client Relations with Meritain Health. Niblack is a certified
Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and member of the
Indianapolis Bar Association and Florida Bar Association. She is a licensed
producer in life, accident and health insurance in the state of Indiana and a
five-term national healthcare committee member for the Self-Insurance
Institute of America.
The Self-Insurance Institute of America, Inc. (SIIA) is the only national
association dedicated exclusively to protecting and promoting the selfinsurance and alternative risk transfer industry. Since its founding in 1981,
the association has grown significantly and now includes members from
across the nation and several countries around the world. Major
membership constituencies include self-insured employers (healthcare and
Workers' Compensation), group self-insured Workers' Compensation funds
(SIFs), third-party administrators (TPAs), managing general underwriters
(MGUs), excess/stop-loss insurance carriers, and a variety of other
