Just Think Hospitality Leadership Development Signature Program Michelle Szmajda Villatoro, CPC, ELI-MP Just Think Hospitality ® Leadership Development Signature Program The Just Think Hospitality® Leadership Development Signature Program is a supportive thought provoking and engaging program to help leaders grow. This program will provide a six month opportunity to build relationships and improve leadership competencies and coaching processes through monthly workshops, group discussion, hands on exercises and individual coaching. Leaders are individuals who consciously choose to use their ability to influence and impact others to bring about results that are positive - for themselves, their team and the organization. This program is delivered using accelerated learning techniques to produce the greatest results in the least amount of time and includes: • • • • Two (2) Energy Leadership Index™ Assessments (pre and post) accompanied by two (2) debriefs from a certified Energy Leadership Index™ Assessment Master Practitioner Six (6) onsite workshops 60-minute One-on-one Mentor Coaching sessions for each participant Energy Leadership books by Dr. Bruce Schneider for each participant What do top executives, performers, and athletes all have in common? They all have a coach in order to improve skills, work through difficult situations and provide feedback. "Everyone needs a coach," according to Bill Gates and Eric Schmidt, former CEO of Google. One-on-One coaching with each leader supplements the monthly workshops to identify and develop skills, strengths, resources, abilities, and strategies to overcome challenges and maximize their performance. We respect creativity, individuality and confidentiality and take time to get into the world of each individual and their style of learning and leadership. We support individuals by asking the right questions and promoting the critical thinking and conversations needed to make sound decisions. Coaching helps self-awareness and the ability to put their vision/goals into a meaningful plan of action. For many leaders, this means that if they were a negative, judgmental person before the training, they will be a negative, judgmental person after the training, just more skilled at some things. All of our emotions, experiences, feelings and beliefs are etched onto our brains like data is etched onto a computer drive. All of those experiences can influence how we act. Those experiences and emotions are like dragging a huge rock behind us – they weigh us down, they present obstacles to being the best we can be. So adding skills without changing our thoughts, we believe, is at the root of this dilemma. Energy Leadership So, how do we know exactly what might be keeping us from being our best? How do we know how the energy leadership levels show up in our lives? We cannot change what we cannot see so the first step is selfawareness. We can examine the advantages and disadvantages of each of the levels of energy leadership to see how they show up in our everyday lives and professional situations. Why is this Important? Research into the relationship between Energy Leadership and organizational success factors has shown a direct link between higher levels of like productivity, work/life balance, efficiency, time management, leadership effectiveness and 9 other organizational success factors. The graph illustrates higher levels of energy linked to significantly greater levels of each of these factors. The research revealed that higher Energetic Capacity or E-Factor scores were related to 25% to 200% greater productivity and engagement as illustrate by the charts below. Imagine the impact such an increase would have on your organization! This research study also found similarly dramatic increases in leader effectiveness, communication skills and 8 other factors. As one’s E-Factor score increased, leadership effectiveness increased even faster than productivity growth.
