TERME CERKNO
Cerkno is home to the only Slovenian thermal spa under the Julian Alps – as part of
Hotel Cerkno – which is actually considered one of the smaller Slovenian thermal
spas. Cerkno is located along the famous Idrija fracture, through which, as measurement
show, powerful healing energies permeate. As early as prehistoric times, humans already
knew about these energies and used for healing. The thermal water is rich with minerals
and has a beneficial effect on the human body. The thermal water is pumped from a
bore-hole at a depth of 2,000 metres in the immediate vicinity of the hotel complex.
Terme Cerkno is suitable for relaxation, recreation, preparations for swimming clubs, and
various exercises.
The indoor pool with the temperature of 30 °C combines numerous attractions.
You can relax on massage beds, geysers, in the whirlpool, and in the children’s pool.
SAVNE IN SOLNA SOBA
Saunas have been used for relaxation of the mind and body since time immemorial.
The main purpose of a sauna is to cause sweating and overheating of body, thereby
removing from the body harmful substances, balancing the metabolism, cleansing the
skin, strengthening the immune system, and improving sleep and mood.
You can also visit the salt room, where you can relax while breathing in the air with a high
salt content.
Salt rooms are suitable for anyone with respiratory problems or skin conditions. Salt
rooms are lined with salt, and visitors breathe in the air enriched with salt or salt aerosol.
The effects of therapy on the respiratory system and skin are similar to spending a few
days at the seaside.
