Discuss sepsis quality metrics currently in place and the impact on patient care Describe successful initiatives to improve sepsis outcomes Review testing concepts and impact of interpreting results of pretest probability, incidence, prevalence, sensitivity, specificity, and positive or negative predictive value. Explain the four targets of testing (pathogen, antibody, antigen, and nucleic acid) and understand "one size does not fit all".
