Standards: Classify two-dimensional figures based on the presence or absence of parallel or perpendicular lines, or the presence or absence of angles of a specified size. Recognize right triangles as a category, and identify right triangles. Essential Questions -How do you classify a two-dimensional figure? Content Statements - Students will learn to identify polygons. - Students will learn to identify and classify triangles - Students will learn to identify quadrilaterals - Students will solve problems by making and testing generalizations.
