The Innov8/2000 The Innov8/4000 The Innov8/6000 The Innov8/2000 is both the standard ward bed and the base platform to which any accessory can be added, giving the hospital flexibility to customise the bed to their specific requirement. The Innov8/4000 is an advanced ward bed, featuring split side rails, excellent infection control and superb ergonomics. The sophisticated Innov8/6000 bed is designed for high dependency patients and incorporates split side rails, an X-ray translucent backrest and an oxygen cylinder carrier. Key Features: Key Features: Key Features: • Standard ward bed and base platform (accessories can be added) • Advanced ward bed with split side rails (easy and safe access for patients) • High dependency bed with split side rails, X-ray backrest and oxygen cylinder • 19.3cm under bed clearance for hoist access • Solid bed panels for maximum infection control and ease of cleaning, incorporating ridges for breathability • Easy to clean and decontaminate, incorporates BioCote® From specification and concept development to focus group demonstrations, the beds have been designed from the ground up to satisfy the needs of two key audiences: the hospital team and the patient. Specialists in the fields of tissue viability, manual handling, nursing management, medical engineering, product distribution, procurement and a variety of clinical disciplines have all played a vital part in developing the specification and refining the design. The outcome of this is a bed which is easy to use, supports world-class infection control, is reliable and easily maintained, and incorporates superb ergonomics from both a manual handling and patient comfort point of view. 2 All Innov8 beds are designed and manufactured in the UK. This means that access to spare parts, service and maintenance support, and technical expertise is exemplary. The short supply chain also provides flexibility, so Sidhil can quickly respond to urgent requests for products. There is another important aspect to UK manufacture. Everyone is concerned about their carbon footprint and their impact on the climate, and local manufacture ensures that each bed travels the least distance between the production facility and the hospital, minimising the amount of fuel used to deliver the equipment. • Maximum user weight 222kg (35st), maximum safe working load 255kg (40st) Flexibility Each bed is highly flexible. An integral bed extension providing an additional 200mm of bed length is supported with a similar extension to the foot rest. Also included is an integral linen shelf to aid bed changing. • Maximum user weight 222kg (35st), maximum safe working load 255kg (40st) Side Rail Options Both the Innov8/4000 and the Innov8/6000 incorporate split side rails as standard. The Innov8/2000 is available with either standard side rails or high side rails for use with deep mattresses such as dynamic systems. ...making it better Bed Extension Linen Shelf • Maximum user weight 222kg (35st), maximum safe working load 255kg (40st) Standard side rails fitted to Innov8/2000 3 Bed Positions Control Units All Innov8 beds can be adjusted to a wide variety of positions to support the need for clinical postures. The beds support height, Trendelenburg and reverse-Trendelenburg, Fowler’s (with and without knee raise), autocontour and cardiac chair positions. All beds in the range feature a patient handset and a nurse control panel. Both the handset and the control panel have been designed to be as easy to use as possible. Exceptionally clear graphics plainly indicate what each function does and how to operate it. The nurse control panel (designed for both left and right-handed individuals) uses a two-button operation to eliminate accidental operation of a function, and bright LEDs indicate which function is operating or which is locked out. The control panel also incorporates power and battery indicators. If the night pack option is selected then the patient handset illuminates when any button is pressed. Importantly, the bed incorporates an antientrapment safety mechanism on the backrest and knee break sections. Cardiac Chair Position Infection Control Patient Handset with Night Pack Modern infection control requirements demand the highest possible standards of cleanliness. Because of this, all Innov8 beds have been designed to be exceptionally easy to clean and decontaminate. CPR Function Solid back panels mean that patient body fluids cannot easily drip onto the bed frame or the floor, and the panels are exceptionally easy to remove to allow access to all areas of the bed. The panels are also ridged for ventilation. Careful consideration has been taken during design to ensure that every part of the bed is easy to reach for cleaning, and the number of cables within the frame has been minimised. Being able to swiftly flatten the platform and bring it to a usable height in the event of a cardiac emergency is critical. For this reason, careful attention has been paid to the cardiac function. The CPR function on the nurse control handset causes the platform to simultaneously flatten (both the backrest and knee break), level out and start to descend. As soon as the CPR button is released the bed stops moving, so the platform can be stopped at the most appropriate height for CPR to take place. The use of BioCote® means that the bed frame itself forms part of the arsenal of infection control processes within the ward or ICU, reducing the risk of cross infection. IP66 versions of all electronics are available as an option. Nurse Control Panel Easily cleaned framework Contact our sales team for details: In case of power failure there are, on both sides of the bed, easily accessible manual CPR handles. Pulling either of these immediately flattens the patient platform. The Innov8 beds are easy to move and position, and have been designed to accomodate most bed pushers. Naturally the bed comes with accessories such as a lifting pole, drip pole and various traction options. To add to this, there is an exceptionally wide range of castor options available - 12.5cm single castors (standard), 12.5 double castors, 15cm single castors and 15cm double castors. These allow you to select the most appropriate castor for the job - either to increase ground clearance or to improve manoeuvrability even further. Standard on the Innov8/6000, an oxygen cylinder can be added to the Innov8/2000 and the Innov8/4000. The night pack option, which uses extremely low-power high-brightness LEDs, provides low level lighting for the patient or nurse to help them at night without needing to illuminate the whole ward. Of course there is a simple-to-operate way to brake the castors, which can be released to allow full freedom to swivel in any direction. In addition, to aid handling when pushing down a corridor, the castors can be set to ‘track’, i.e. they can roll but not swivel. Innov8/2000 with drip pole Head/Foot Ends Even the smallest detail has been considered in the design of the Innov8 range. The bed head and foot ends are interchangeable and are available in a variety of colours to aid facilities management. It is easy to hang equipment from them, and ridges ensure that items of equipment do not slip off. Crucially, infection control has been carefully considered; there are no holes so the surface is continuous, allowing for easier and more thorough cleaning. Bed Tracking Castors Freely Swivelling 6 Bed Braked Easily accessible foot pedals X-Ray Backrest Orange Lilac Aqua Red Green Blue UK Manufacture Being local makes a big difference. Fewer miles travelled between manufacture and delivery means fewer ‘bed miles’ - in other words, less CO2 in the atmosphere and a better environment. It also means we can be more responsive, either to orders where we can replan production to cope with new demand or by swiftly delivering from our stock. Spare parts can be delivered the next day. It’s not just about logistics, either. Sidhil can help with installation, perhaps changing beds on a ward overnight and removing the old beds for decontamination and recycling. Staff training is easily organised and is supported by comprehensive user guides. Ultimately, Sidhil can take care of everything with our Complete Bed Care programme, where we can manage every aspect of service and maintenance, up to and including having our own engineers on your site. Sometimes it is not possible to move the patient from the bed, even when they need a diagnostic service such as an X-ray. The Innov8/6000 has an integral X-ray backrest as standard; designed to accommodate the most popular sized X-ray cassettes. Maintenance All beds need to be maintained and serviced. Making this easy and quick ensures that the bed is available to the ward and is not sitting in a service area awaiting repair. Access to all items on the bed is simple and easy, so most repairs can be carried out in a matter of minutes, even in the ward environment. For additional fault diagnosis and aid to preventative maintenance a laptop interface to the control electronics is available.
