Roosevelt • j) The Yalta Conference The Yalta Conference had three specific goals: 1. Find a common strategy to end the war as soon as possible 2. Determine what to do with Europe after the fall of the 3rd Reich (Germany) 3. Ensure global stability after the end of the war j) The Yalta Conference Major decisions: • After its defeat, Germany would be divided into 4 zones – Each zone is occupied by countries (USSR, UK, France and the United States) – Berlin was also divided into four zones (erection of the Berlin Wall) j) The Yalta Conference 2.
