Digital Compositing
 Digital compositing is the process of
digitally assembling multiple images to
make a final image
 Digital compositing is generally done
through Alpha Blending
 Alpha Blending is the process of
combining a translucent foreground
color with a background color
Alpha Blending
 α = opacity value
f = foreground pixel
b = background pixel
c = composited pixel
 c = α*f + (1 – α)*b
 Given the standard RGB
Color wheel, three
composite pixels will
be generated.
Marketability?
 Aimed towards people who work in image
rendering fields. (Movie companies, video
game companies, etc)
 Generally done via software

 Kodak Cineon
 Drastic speed improvement implemented via
hardware
Automatic Refrigerator
 Refrigerator has weight sensors in
shelves to keep track of the amount of
food
 When a certain kind of food is running
low, the item is automatically added to
the list
 The pads can be reprogrammed to be
used with different foods (ie. milk,
juice, meat, etc…)
Market
 Helps to remedy frequent
trips to the store to get
forgotten items.
 Refrigerators contain TVs
these days. A small chip that
adds convenience is entirely
reasonable.
 Could be expanded to
automatically order food
online as the internet
becomes a main way to shop
for food.

ParkGoogle – Parking Plus Google
 ParkGoogle chip provides customers
the service which knows where is the
nearest and available parking lot
around your vehicle.
 ParkGoogle utilizes GPS data and
information about parking lots from
internet.

Marketability
 Aimed towards the big
cities that need to
control their traffic jam.
 Save Time - Avoid
vehicles spend much
time to find parking lot.
 Save Money – Save
gasoline. It’s also a
green technology.
