There may be more! The Rainforest in Papua New Guinea is home to 1571 known species of amphibians, birds, mammals and reptiles. Europe North America The Congo Rainforest in Africa is Asia the second largest in the World (You could fit Wales into it over 187 times!). Africa EQUATOR South America The Amazon Rainforest in South America is the largest in the World (You could fit Wales into it over 197 times!). Australasia 780 tree species have been found in a 10 hectare plot of Malaysian rainforest. That’s 23 times the amount of tree species found in the UK!
