early days of 2000 with a view to boost country's on going IT wave according to the recent
enhancement worldwide and publish digital interactive multimedia Software and magazine for

First Convocation 2006
The First Convocation Ceremony of
Daffodil International University was
held at the Bangladesh China
Friendship Convention Center on May
24, 2006. It was a stately gathering of a
galaxy of distinguished guests, ViceChancellors, and Senior Government
Officers, Professors from various public
and private universities, parents and
guardians, members of the Academic
Council and Board of Governors, DIU.
All graduating students and faculty
taking part in the Convocation
Procession were attired in gowns and
hoods. The first convocation of Daffodil
International
University
was
commenced in the 5th academic year; it
means the convocation held in the exact
time of the academic calendar without
any interruption.
To participate in the IT development activities of Bangladesh and to
understand the necessity of a computer house with better facilities and
better service, Mr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman of DIIT & Managing Director
of Daffodil Computers Ltd, established Daffodil Computers in 1990. Then in
1997 Daffodil Computers established a Computer Education & Training
institution with the authorization of NCC (UK). In 1998 it was established as
Daffodil Institute of IT (DIIT) to provide quality education. At present, it is
conducting
"International
Diploma
in
Computer
Studies
(IDCS)","International Advanced Diploma in Computer Studies (IADCS)"
and "International Diploma in e-Commerce (IDEC)" courses under NCC
(UK). DIIT also achieved the affiliation for conducting B.Sc (Hon's) in
Computing & Information Systems under London Guildhall University in
1999 (now London Metropolitan University). DIIT is also an Online Testing
Center affiliated by VUE (Virtual University Enterprises), Australia. Besides,
DIIT is a member of CompTIA, USA. DIIT has also achieved the affiliation
of National University in 2000 and is successfully conducting B.Sc (Hon's) in

A Major Landmark in Higher Education
Daffodil has undertaken another onerous venture to establish
Daffodil International College in 2003 where the medium of
instructions will be English to teach the curricula prescribed by our
National Curriculum and Textbook Board in lieu of any foreign
curriculum.

BSDI is an Institute established under the Daffodil Group.
This is an another social commitment of Daffodil Group.
