Dr. Annie Smith Graduate Scholarship $31,000 Available To Be Divided Among Approved Applicants Professor Annie Smith (1940 - 2007) assumed the position of Art and Art History Program Coordinator in 1976. Over the next six years, she reassessed the existing generalist three-year degree program in art education and developed the present professional fine-art focus of the Art and Art History Specialist (four-year) degree program. In 1982, for the first time, the program offered its students fourth-year courses in both studio and art history. Annie wished to help Art and Art History graduates succeed in their Masters-level studies. Eligibility Criteria: • Graduating student currently enrolled full-time in the Art & Art History Program who has been accepted into an MA or MFA program OR Student that has graduated from the Art & Art History Program and has been accepted into or is currently studying in an MA or MFA program • Demonstrated financial need (complete attached budget sheet) • Must be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident or Protected Person, and have resided in Ontario for 12 consecutive months prior to beginning post-secondary studies • Students must be in good academic standing Supporting Documentation To Be Submitted With Application: • • A 500-word statement of intent for master’s-level study Curriculum Vitae (CV) • Ten digital images of your artwork, jpeg format, maximum 1024 x 768 pixels, posted to Flickr. Link must be provided: • Five minutes of a combination of sound or video files instead of, or in addition to, digital still images may be submitted by artists working in installation, video, audio, performance or electronic media in relation to drawing. Submit audio or video files to either Vimeo or YouTube. Link must be provided: • A list of images, video and sound files that you are submitting. Digital image files must be numbered and titled, and correspond to the support material list (e.g. 01.title.jpg).
