Nominations requested
The Intergovernmental Forum on Chemical Safety is proud to sponsor the IFCS AWARD OF
MERIT. IFCS Awards of Merit are presented at the sessions of the Forum. The fourth
session (1-7 November 2003) will be hosted by the Royal Thai Government in Bangkok. The
prize shall recognize a person(s) or organization(s) for outstanding contributions to
international activities in chemical safety.
A nomination of a person or organization who has significantly contributed to the goals of
international chemical safety for the IFCS Award of Merit should be submitted on the
attached form. Any participant in the Forum may put forward a nomination thought worthy of
consideration. Each nomination must be accompanied by a written statement of the reasons on
which it is based. No condition is made as to the age, sex, profession or nationality of the
person proposed.
Nominations, together with the completed candidature forms, should reach the Executive
Secretary not later than 1 March 2003. The form is also available on the IFCS website:
www.ifcs.ch and is available in English, French and Spanish. The Prize Committee shall be
composed of the President and Vice Presidents of the Forum. The Executive Secretary will
act as Secretary to the Prize Committee. The Committee will make, by majority of its
members, a recommendation to the Forum Standing Committee who will make the final
selection.

the goal of global chemical safety. IFCS
Awards of Merit are presented at sessions of
