Exhibitors' opinions on
Fruchtwelt Bodensee and
?agrarwelt' 2010:
Eugen Setz, Managing Director of the Lake Constance
fruit-growing region, said, "We have entirely fulfilled our
objective of being a communication stand at the show. At
our stand, we also had the opportunity to welcome large
groups and high-ranking association representatives from
Styria, South Tyrol, and from what we call the ´old
country´. The selection of topics at the 34th fruit growers´
show on Lake Constance appealed strongly to visitors.
They
found
the
presentation
on
plant
protection
particularly interesting. Fruchtwelt Bodensee is known in
the
industry
both
throughout
Germany
and
internationally."
Jürgen
Decker,
from
the
Communication
and
Marketing Service at Bayer CropScience, added: "The
atmosphere here is good, and we had some high-value
discussions. We actually only sell within the trade, so at
Fruchtwelt Bodensee we take the opportunity to come into
contact with traders and end consumers. Our new plant
protection method has met with great interest. Things are
going really well for us."
André
Vink,
Commercial
Manager
for
Benelux,
Germany, Austria and Switzerland at AgroFresh,
remarked: "The location here is very central, so we´ve
had excellent access to our customers in Germany,
Austria and Switzerland. The atmosphere has been really
dynamic and we´ve had some excellent business
discussions."
Michael
Weber,
Managing
Director
of
VariCom
(Marketing for the new fruit variety, Mairac): "Visitors
are inquisitive, open and have expressed interest in our
new apple varieties. I´m anticipating that there will be a
high level of post-show business, because lots of fruit
growers
recognize
that
they
can
increase
their
competitiveness with our new apple varieties."
Arnold Holstein, Managing Director of Holstein: "The
show was very effective. Fruchtwelt Bodensee is very
clearly laid out and our customers enjoy visiting. We have
also been able to make lots of new contacts. It would be a
good thing if the show were a day longer so that the flood
of visitors was better distributed."
Claudia Metzler, chairman of the association of fruit
distillers
and
hobby
distillers
of
South
Württemberg/Hohenzollern: "All in all, I can say that it
would be unthinkable not to have these events at the
Fruchtwelt Bodensee in our annual calendar. The
feedback from visitors has been entirely positive; the
overall impression of the show alone is excellent. The
tasting seminar was completely booked out, and our
demonstration of how to cook with our distilled products
also attracted many attentive visitors to."
Yuri Mottolese, Sales Director of Goldoni: "This is our
first visit to Friedrichshafen. Our tractors can be used for
fruit growing and viticulture, and I think that the show is a
good opportunity to make our products better known in
Germany."
Karl-Heinz
Bähr,
Managing
Director
of
Bähr
Agrarhandel (agrarwelt): "We´re extraordinarily satisfied,
because with so many visitors from Germany, as well as
from nearby Switzerland and Austria, we´ve managed to
reach our target groups very precisely. We primarily came
here to look after our existing customers, but we´ve also
succeeded in initiating a surprising number of new
contacts."
Manfred Ehrle, Managing Director of the regional
farmers´ association based in Tettnang (agrarwelt):
"For us, the show has been a success. We have had
larger throngs of people at our stand at this second
edition of ´agrarwelt´. Many of our members were among
our visitors, but also people from beyond Germany´s
borders, such as from the South Tyrol and Switzerland´s
Franconia region, with whom we exchanged ideas and
experiences."
Hubert Hennge, director of the Tettnang machinery
and operations support circle (agrarwelt) said: "We´re
very satisfied with the way the show has gone. Our
information and large-scale machines have been well
received by our visitors. The exciting highlight was the
fashion show that we staged this year using people from
the agriculture business as our models. I´m convinced
that the two trade shows are mutually beneficial, since, to
a large extent, visitors are interested in both trade show
themes."
Tobias Stassen, Sales at Celmens Maschinenfabrik
(agrarwelt): "Visitors to ´agrarwelt´ are very interested in
our products and we have had some high-quality
discussions. We´re optimistic about it generating a lot of
post-show business."
