Purpose

City Centre Management Group
Purpose
To set up a partnership vision and strategy linked to the DCP 2020 Vision, for a
prosperous, successful commercial centre as the economic heart of Derby and then
oversee its delivery in a timely, cost-effective and creative manner. This vision will
capture the following key elements:
A gradual but steady expansion of the city centre's range of services, facilities and
activities for all who choose to use it, by day and night, and seven days a week

URBAN Programme Management Committee
Purpose
‘The URBAN Programme Management Committee’s role is to monitor the
implementation of URBAN funding within the Normanton programme and ensure that

Purpose
The group will contribute to two of the three key ambitions of the City Growth
Vision:
To build Derby's portfolio of higher value, knowledge based employment
To energise all of Derby's communities, capturing their full economic potential
This will support the third ambition which is to ensure Derby is a location of choice
for the most able and talented, attracting and retaining creative imaginative and
forward thinking people.
