These summary statements are generally limited to one or two paragraphs
RESEARCH STATEMENT (if applicable)
My inter-professional research focuses on addressing issues to improve cancer care. This includes
health services research using large data sets to evaluate the quality of cancer care and
intervention studies to facilitate the transition from active treatment into survivorship. I
collaborate with a number of other researchers on related projects. I mentor a number of nursing
and other professional students in cancer research as well as junior School of Nursing Faculty.
TEACHING STATEMENT
My focus is on preparing the next generation of adult gerontology nurse practitioners with a focus
on cancer care and other interested clinicians regardless of type of preparation using innovative
student-centered methods.
SERVICE and ENGAGEMENT STATEMENT (if applicable)
I am committed to providing service locally, regionally, nationally and internationally on cancer
care and cancer survivorship activities.
