the genus in which the well-known Indian medicinal plant Brahmi (Bacopa monnieri) is
included. Three of the most common allied species of brammi isBacopa eisenii,Bacopa
repens and B.Carolinian. Here an attempt was made to find out the relationship between the
four species of bacopa with the help of NADH dehydrogenase subunit F, the common enzyme
sequence available in the NCBI databank. We studied physic-chemical parameters like amino
acid frequency, isoelectric point, aliphatic index, GRAVY, charges, extinction coefficient,
hydrophobicity and antigenicity. The domains in the protein and their secondary structure
along with peptide sequences and Trans membrane sequences also predicted.
Key words: Bacopa, Brahmi, NADH dehydrogenase subunit F, antigenicity, peptide, transmembrane, phylogeny.
