Mandate (noun) - an order or command Example: The mandate is that we should all wear One Direction shirts on Monday. mal= bad; ill; evil; wrong malicious (adjective)- deliberately harmful Example: If anyone did anything malicious to Liam from One Direction, I would get really upset. Trans= across Transparent (adjective)- easily seen through, recognized, or detected Example: The transparent window on the airplane allowed me to see Kobe Bryant in first class. Transport (verb)- to carry somebody or something from one place to another Example: We transported the fake mustaches from Texas to New Jersey. Geo=earth Geography (noun)- the study of Earth’s physical features Example: We studied how mountains are formed in Geography class today. Bio=life Biography (noun)- an account of somebody’s life not written by the person who it is about Example: I read Martin Luther King, Jr.: A Life by Marshall Frady. It was a biography about the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Mono=single; one Monologue (noun)- a long, uninterrupted speech; a speech you give to yourself while you are alone Example: In the play Cesar’s Way, the monologue Cesar gave after the death of his dog made the entire audience cry.
