State Leadership Conference for Chapter Leaders Information: July 10-12 or 13-15 State Leadership Conference for Chapter Leaders is the second leadership conference offered for Minnesota FFA members. It is a three-day conference that focuses on the member’s ability to serve on the chapter level. Participants will focus on developing the skills needed to lead their chapter while focusing on student, chapter and community development activities. This conference is designed primarily for high school sophomores, juniors and seniors. Who should attend? All students completing grades 9-11 are invited to attend to learn more about being a chapter leader! Cost? Registration cost is $175 and covers expenses for lodging and meals Day 1 lunch until Day 3 lunch. Additional expenses may include snacks available during recreation time and meals while traveling. Schedule: Day 1 Check – in begins at 10:45 am and closes at 11:45 am. Lunch is served at noon. Day 3 departure at 3:00 pm Items to pack: Medical/Conduct/Photo Release/Rock Climbing Wall Form – available at http://www.mnffa.org/Conferences/StateLeadershipConferenceforChapterLeaders.aspx Toiletries (shampoo, soap, hair dryer, etc.) Bedding/blankets/sleeping bag (twin bed provided) Towels Swimsuit and water shoes (required to go in lake) Me-in-a-Box (3-5 items about self) Official Dress Casual Official Dress or dress shirt/polo and dress pants/khakis Clothes for service project including close-toed shoes Appropriate clothing: Shorts longer than fingertips Tank tops with straps at least 3 fingers wide Light jacket or sweatshirt recommended for cooler mornings/evenings Clothing promoting illegal substances will not be allowed Extra cash for snacks Food/gum/beverages are NOT allowed in cabins Water bottle Needed medications Note: Please contact Leadership Development Coordinator, Lavyne Rada, if you have any food allergies or special food needs by July 5
