3-Day Diet and Exercise Record This assignment is going to be the basis of most of the assignments for this class. The more accurate this assignment is, the more meaningful the Diet Analysis assignments will be because the assignments are all about your diet. If you don't measure the foods accurately, the entire nutritional analysis will be BS. The point of this assignment is to analyze what you normally eat and drink in order to determine your nutritional status. Once you know your nutrient deficiencies and excesses, you’ll know what dietary changes you need to make to be as healthy as possible. This is not the time to pretend you have a great diet. There is nothing you can show me that I haven’t seen before. You are not graded on your diet! You are only graded on the analysis of your diet. The Assignment: 1. Record every single bite and drink you consume for three days as you consume them (You will forget by the end of the day.). 2. One of the three days must be a weekend day. (Weekends count too.) 3. Use the form at the end of these instructions to record the foods and beverages you consume. Or, input the foods and beverages as you consume them. The three Daily Food Logs from the DWP program must be submitted. See the instructions for using the DWP for printing directions. 4. Do NOT change your diet. The evaluation should be based on what you typically eat. 5. Measure everything you eat and drink with measuring cups and spoons or else it won’t be accurate! i.e. 1 cup of Cheerios with 12 ounces of non-fat milk. 6. Record any exercise you did for each of the three days and the amount of time spent in exercise. 7. You will take this record of foods, beverages and exercise and input the data into the Diet Analysis Plus Program. The program will analyze everything you enter! 8. Many fast food restaurants are included in the Diet Analysis Database.
