Hazard Management Details – General Plant/Equipment Item: VEHICLE JACK Make/Model No.: School / Work Location: Region: Name of Person(s) Conducting Activity: Serial No.: Date Conducted: Description of Use: A vehicle jack is a piece of hydraulic lifting equipment that is used to raise cars/vehicles off the ground to enable the operator to gain access to the underparts of the vehicle. One end of the jack is placed under the vehicle at a suitable load bearing point and then the long handle is used to ‘pump’ the hydraulic fluid causing the vehicle to be raised.
