Annex 2 Singapore Arts Festival 2004 URBAN DREAM CAPSULE PERFORMERS Neil Thomas Director/Performer Neil Thomas has an international reputation for innovative, exciting and highly successful public performance works. Neil, who has done street theatre and theatre for over 18 years has, for the past eight years, specialised in creating performance window installations and sitespecific public art in Australia and Europe. David Wells Performer David Wells has been performing and teaching dance since 1983. He has worked as a Dance Therapist for the last 20 years, performing and touring extensively in several Australian theatre productions. David is a founding member of Born in a Taxi - a physical theatre company that performs indoor and outdoor theatre, theatre in education. He has also worked extensively in the entertainment industry. David is currently pursuing his solo improvisational work in Melbourne. Michael Hurwood Performer Michael Hurwood is moving into the Urban Dream Capsule for the first time. He has performed, taught and devised works for theatre and street theatre groups. Michael has also taught circus skills, puppetry, theatre skills and cooking to high school students for 10 years. He studied karate for 7 years and was a black belt instructor for two years. Michael is also a qualified massage therapist and a father of two. Dan Witton Performer Dan Witton is the other new tenant of the Urban Dream Capsule. He has worked as a performer, musician and composer with companies, musical ensembles and individuals since 1980. He is also a composer and sound designer with installations at the Melbourne Town Hall, Australian Centre for Contemporary Art (Melbourne), Frankston Art Centre. In 1990 he co-founded desoxy Theatre with Teresa Blake and has been a co-deviser, composer and performer for productions blending dance, drama and music as well as other media such as film projection, sculptural installation and video and electronic music. desoxy has toured Australia, Venezuela, Spain, Japan, Belgium, Austria, Holland, England, Ireland and Scotland.
