The ABC’s of Astronomy
Your child has drawn the letter _____________!
Please help them select a term on the attached sheet to research. Please
guide your child as they research the field of astronomy to learn about this
specific vocabulary term.
Assignment:
 Your child is responsible for presenting their term to the class. Their project will
be self-selected. Students may choose how they would like to “showcase” their
topic. Please see attached form for ideas (these are just suggestions, the
options are limitless).

Your child will be responsible to give a short oral presentation explaining his or
her term to the class. This presentation should not take longer than 3-5 minutes.
Your child should be able to briefly explain their term to the class and present
their project. The computer will be available if your child chooses to complete a
PowerPoint or other technology based project. (Please send project in prior to
presentation day to ensure the technology works on the school computer).

All projects are due Thursday, December 4th! All students need to be
prepared to present this day!
(Please cut & return to school with your child)
