ANCIENT TRAVEL BROCHURE
The purpose of this project is to have each student travel back in time to ancient China,
ancient Korea, and ancient Japan.This ancient travel brochure will help you to develop
a better and more complete understanding of these ancient civilizations.You will have to
research certain areas of ancient China, Korea, and Japan and will be given choices to
research in other areas.Overall,each student is their own tour guide of these ancient
civilizations.You are looking to be as creative with your brochure as you can.Remember,
you are trying to persuade us to take a trip back in time to ancient China, ancient Korea,
and ancient Japan.
The ancient travel brochure must include the following criteria:
1.) The front page must have a title, picture, name and class on the
lower left hand side, date and period on the lower right hand side
of the page.
2.) Geography-major bodies of water, mountains, neighboring civilization’s,
and any major landforms.(a picture and sentence that describe the
physical feature.)
3.) The brochure must be created on a tri-fold.You can use any template that
works for you.
4.) When placing the information on the brochure,you have a choice of bulleting
information,writing sentences, or short paragraphs.You should use a
combination of all of three to make the brochure interesting and
understandable.
5.) The brochure must include the eight features of civilization for ancient China,
ancient Korea, and ancient Japan.( Example; ancient China-GovernementAbsolute Monarchy/dynasty)
6.) Places to experience. Must have a minimum of two places to experience
with a picture and sentence explanation for each civilization.
7.) You have a choice of including what you believe are the most important
contributions/achievements and the most important people of ancient China,
ancient Korea, and ancient Japan.
You must include at least three ancient achievements/contributions and three
famous ancient people for each civilization in your brochure.
