management. The hospital is a thirty-bed hospital with a sixty-bed nursing home

(attended all cardiac arrests, all psychiatric take-downs, all deaths, all unusual
occurrences, and answered all complaints).
Accepted or re-routed patients from rural hospitals as beds permitted and adjusted

monthly basis.

Coast Art Show and Auction.

The Friends of the Port Arthur Public Library is an organization that supports the Port
Arthur Public Library. As a board member, my volunteer effort supported activities for
the library and the annual book sale held in February. I also supported guest lecturer
activities and helped ensure the children’s summer program was adequately funded.

“Talks” had presentation followed by refreshments and question and answer time
Children were bussed in for breakfast and listened to a health presentation and
supplied with packages that contained hair brush, tooth brush, tooth paste,
mouthwash, soap, and powder.
Blood pressure, blood sugar, and blood cholesterol readings were free of charge
for the adult participants.
